About Hearing

The interview isn't a test of facts. It's a test of nerve — of telling your own true story, clearly, under a stranger's gaze.

Most people preparing for a USCIS interview have the answers. What they don't have is a place to rehearse the room — the pauses, the follow-ups, the small panic when a date slips your mind.

Hearing gives you that room. You choose the officer's temperament, answer eight questions out loud, and watch coaching notes appear beside you as you speak. When you finish, you get an honest readiness report: what landed, what was vague, and exactly what to tighten before the real thing.

It's built to lower anxiety, not perform authority. Practice as many times as you need — quietly, privately, on your own schedule.

Features

Everything the real room throws at you — rehearsed.

Hearing recreates the texture of a federal interview so the real one feels familiar, not foreign.

Officer personas

Choose who's across the table. Each persona changes pace, follow-up frequency, and tolerance for vague answers.

CalmNeutralStrictHigh pressure

Live coaching notes

As you answer, Hearing flags what's working and what an officer would push on — "you named the venue and date, officers note this" or "you said 'around six' — if you remember exactly, say it." Guidance arrives while it still helps, not after.

Readiness report

Finish and get a scored breakdown: every question banded Strong, Adequate, or Needs work, with timing, your stated facts cross-checked for consistency, and a short list of what to fix first.

Real question bank

Identity, relationship origin, daily life, finances, family, and future plans — the territory real interviews actually cover.

Answer by voice

Speak the way you will on the day. Hearing transcribes and times each answer, so you practice cadence, not typing.

Private by design

Your answers are yours. Rehearse as many times as you like — no scores shared, no record kept beyond your own.

A practice tool — not legal advice.

Hearing is a rehearsal space, not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship. It isn't affiliated with USCIS or any government agency, and nothing here is a substitute for guidance from a licensed immigration attorney or accredited representative. Practicing with Hearing does not guarantee any outcome in your actual interview. For advice about your specific case, please consult a qualified professional.

No. Hearing is an independent practice tool with no affiliation, endorsement, or connection to USCIS or any government agency. We recreate the experience of an interview to help you rehearse — we have no role in your actual case.
It does not. Hearing is a rehearsal space, not a law firm, and using it doesn't create an attorney–client relationship. For guidance on your specific situation, please consult a licensed immigration attorney or accredited representative.
Hearing focuses on the kinds of questions common to USCIS interviews — including marriage-based adjustment of status and naturalization — across identity, relationship history, daily life, finances, family, and future plans. You choose the interview type when you set up a session.
That's the point — speaking is how you build calm under pressure. Hearing transcribes your spoken answers and times them, so you rehearse cadence and clarity, not typing. A quiet room and a microphone are all you need.
Each question is scored and banded Strong, Adequate, or Needs work, with timing and short, specific notes. Hearing also collects the facts you stated and flags inconsistencies, so you can see where an officer might press.
Your sessions are yours. We don't sell your data or share your answers, and you can delete your sessions at any time. See our privacy policy for the full detail.
The monthly plan can be cancelled anytime from your account, and you keep access through the end of the period. If something went wrong with a single session, email us within 14 days and we'll make it right.
